Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the MP Ladli Behna Yojana, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
• The scheme is open to middle-class and poor women belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and General Category.
• The age of the woman applying should be between 23 to 60 years as of January 1, 2023.
• Women above the age of 60 years who are not availing any pension scheme can also apply for the scheme.
• Women from rural areas with an annual income exceeding ₹2.5 lakhs or owning more than 5 acres of land are not eligible.
• Families owning four-wheelers are also not eligible.

New Eligibility Changes (MP Ladli Behna Yojana 2.0)

In a recent development, the government has lowered the age criterion to 21 years, allowing unmarried women above 21 to also apply for the scheme. Furthermore, families owning tractors will now be eligible for the benefits of the scheme, as tractors are not considered as four-wheelers under the scheme guidelines.

MP Ladli Behna Yojana Application Process

The application process for the Ladli Behna Yojana can be done through two methods:

Offline Application: Applicants can visit their nearest Anganwadi center to obtain information and the application form. They can also download the application form from the official website. Once the form is filled, it should be submitted along with necessary documents at the designated centers.

Online Application: The government is soon launching an official website for online applications. Once launched, interested beneficiaries can apply online and receive ₹1000 per month as financial assistance.

Important Dates

The application process for the Ladli Behna Yojana begins on March 25 and continues until April 30. Applicants must ensure that all required documents are correctly submitted by the specified deadline to avoid rejection.

MP Ladli Behna Yojana 2.0 (Second Round)

The Ladli Behna Yojana is launching its second round to provide another opportunity to those whose applications were previously rejected. Women with new eligibility criteria or rejected applications can reapply with corrections. The registration for the second round starts on July 1 and closes on August 15.

Formation of Ladli Behna Sena  

The Madhya Pradesh government is taking additional steps for the successful implementation of Ladli Behna Yojana by forming Ladli Behna Sena. This initiative involves forming groups of women from villages and districts to raise awareness and ensure effective communication of schemes for women’s welfare.
